Bio

Tyaela Nieves (they/she) is a New York based creative. Inspired by their Afro-Latinx heritage and queer identity, they create work that centers underrepresented voices and balances authenticity with bold, distinctive storytelling. A graduate of NYU’s Experimental Theatre Wing with an M.S. in Professional Writing, Tyaela combines performance, film, and literature to tell impactful stories.
